"Dingo" Dave's rants and raves

LOL I went to the pharmacy, the post office, and the local grocery store next door, just to buy some stamps to send home some postcards. The pharmacy and post office were both shuttered up, and even though the sign on the door said it was supposed to be open, it isn't!

And of course, the grocery store doesn't sell stamps. ARGHHH

But in the process of trying everyplace, I saw this sight. It how they move into/out of the apartments above the stores, since they have such tiny stairways up to them. They just drive in, deposit this automated lift, and just hook it to the balcony of the apartment they want to move into.. Kinda neat idea, and the guys had a large truck's worth of stuff moved in in about half an hour. A LOT less time than it would take carrying it all up there! Cool, huh?

Anyway, I took another jaunt down to Starbucks, and was planning on doing some window shopping, but most places are closed today for some reason. Gonna ask the front desk clerk what's going on.
